1. Introduction
China Agricultural University offers undergraduate programs to international students. The undergraduate programs have a schooling system of 4 years, except that the veterinary medicine program requires 5 years. The programs are delivered in Chinese. Bachelor’s degree and completion certificate are awarded to those who have finished all the course work required and passed thesis defense.
2. Qualification of Applicants
(1) Applicants must be aged at least 18 and less than 25, graduate from secondary school or hold a higher degree.
(2) Non-Chinese citizens who do not have Chinese nationality under the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China and hold a valid ordinary passport;
(3)Physically and mentally healthy, meet the physical examination requirements for Chinese Visa or Residence Permit applicants in China and the physical examination requirements of the major to study in BFSU to ensure normal study and life in China;
(4) Have no violation of disciplines, no records of public security punishment or of criminal conduct; be friendly to China and behave well; comply with Chinese laws and university regulations, and respect Chinese customs and manners;
(5)In accordance with regulations stated by Ministry of Education in Document No. 83 (2009) Mainland Chinese (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) immigrants who have renounced their original Chinese nationality and want to join a Chinese university, will be considered as foreign students if they have held a foreign passport or citizenship for more than four years and have lived abroad for more than 2 years out of 4 (9 months out of one year is considered as one year, estimations are to be made according to official stamps in a passport).
Applicants who had Chinese citizenship and changed it to a foreign one must submit the following documents: 1) Certificate of Naturalization; 2) Certificate of renouncing Chinese citizenship; 3) Printed copies of pages with entrance/exit stamps from a foreign passport showing records for the past 4 years (original document will also be checked); 4) Certificates of experience of study abroad for the past 4 years;
(6) Students applying for Veterinary Medicine major must submit New HSK level 5 certificate with a score above 250; others must provide a certificate of New HSK level 5 with a score above 180.
3. Application Time
All applications are made online, from March 1st to May 31st each year (subject to submitting application materials in the system within the deadline)..
4. Application Procedure
Applicants must log in to the International Student Registration Website of China Agricultural University( http://apply.cau.edu.cn )Fill in the information.
5. Materials for Application
(1) High School Diploma and transcripts in English or Chinese (Original or notarized copy); Certificate of expected graduation issued by high school (for applicants who will be graduating from high school in July);
(2) Photocopy of passport details (scanned copy or facsimiled copy);
(3) Certificate of HSK level 5 (HSK level 5 more than 230 points.)_or above the notarized photocopy;
(4) the Recommendation letter from senior high school;
Supplementary materials shall be provided upon request.

★ Admission fee is not refundable;
★ All submitted documents cannot be returned.
(5) Medical examination certificate (refer to the website: http://www.csc.edu.cn/uploads/forms/foreinphy.pdf );
(6) Certificate of No Criminal Record.
6. Review and Examination
The admission committee will review the application materials and select applicants for further examinations or interviews requested by some departments/schools. The applicants will be informed to take part in examinations or interviews. Students, with excellent performance both in conduct and study who have finished one level of study in China and continue to pursue a higher level degree study in China, can be admitted by CAU without enrollment examinations.
7. Inquiry and Admission Notice
The applicants will be admitted after they pass the examinations or interviews. Admission Notice, Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202 Form), and Form of Physical Examination Record for Foreigners will be issued at the end of June each year.
8. Visa Application and Admission Registration
The admitted applicants should bring their Passport, Admission Notice, Visa Application Form (JW202), and Original copy of the Form of Physical Examination Record for Foreigners as well as other original documents of physical examination to the Embassy or Consulate of the People's Republic of China, and apply for a student visa (X1 visa). In autumn every year, the students shall come to the Office of International University, China Agricultural University for admission registration before the deadline indicated on the Admission Notice. The X1 visa holders must apply for a Residence Permit within 30 days after arrival in China.
